These celebrity duos are #goals

Not long ago, it would have been a struggle to find sapphic celebrity couples for this listicle. However, there’s been so much progress and it truly feels like such a privilege that I get to be alive during a time when queer love can be celebrated on the red carpet and in the mainstream. Of course, with anti-LGBTQIA abuse on the rise, there is still so much work that needs to be done beyond visibility. With all that said, these are some of the celebrity lez/bi and queer couples who are loving out loud and proud.
Hayley Kiyoko and Becca Tilley
Kicking things off with Lesbian Jesus herself, Hayley Kiyoko, and her girlfriend Becca Tilley. The two mastered the soft/hard launch when Hayley released the music video for her song, for the girls, which Becca had a cameo in. Shortly after the video premiered both of these heartthrobs took to Instagram to officially confirm their four-year-long relationship. And ever since, Hayley and Becca have been the WLW gift that keeps on giving.
Wanda and Alex Sykes
Wanda and Alex Skyes married back in October 2008, and Wanda publicly came out as gay a few weeks after the wedding. A year later, they welcomed twins Olivia Lou and Lucas Clyde into their family. Having been married for almost 15 years, the couple have weathered many challenges together such as Wanda’s breast cancer diagnosis and double mastectomy. We love seeing their dazzling smiles together on the red carpet. This celesbian power couple have truly earned the title of “couple goals”.
Sarah Paulson and Holland Taylor
These two actors are celesbian royalty and we can’t get enough of them. Sarah Paulson is known for her roles in American Horror Story and Ratched and we loved Holland Taylor in The Chair and The L Word. This power couple have been together for eight years now and we’ve loved watching their love story unfold over the years.
Beanie Feldstein and Bonnie-Chance Roberts
And speaking of Sarah Paulson, I welled up seeing her shed happy tears at Beanie Feldstein and Bonnie-Chance Roberts’ wedding in this Instagram video. Bonnie proposed to Beanie in 2022 and filled our gay hearts with so much joy. And earlier this year the two lovebirds had a gloriously gay wedding.
Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts
Niecy Nash and Jessica Betts are such a beautiful example of the magic and power of Black queer love. The power couple announced that they got married back in 2020. And Niecy has opened up about the queer AF moment that they both proposed to each other. In 2022, Niecy and Jessica made queerstory as the first same-sex couple to cover Essence magazine. Hooray for Black queer love being celebrated in the mainstream.
Kristen Stewart and Dylan Meyer
We are so obsessed KStew and Dylan Meyer, who serve up major #CoupleGoals vibes. The two queer icons got enGAYged back in 2021 and we are dying for a wedding announcement (and photos). Oh, and in recent news, KStew confirmed that she and Dylan were working together on writing a comedy. Hungry for more? Join us in looking back on the captivating timeline of their relationship.
Rebel Wilson and Ramona Agruma
Back in Pride season 2022, Rebel Wilson of Pitch Perfect and Senior Year fame uploaded a photo introducing her followers to Ramona Agruma with the caption reading: “I thought I was searching for a Disney Prince… but maybe what I really needed all this time was a Disney Princess.” Unfortunately it was later revealed that the star was almost “outed” by an Australian newspaper. While Rebel and Ramona didn’t get to come out on their own terms, they’ve since loved each other proudly out loud, and even welcomed their daughter, Royce, into the world near the end of 2022. And we still can’t get over their beautiful engagement story from earlier this year.
Brat and Judy
Rap legend Da Brat (Shawntae Harris-Dupart) and beauty mogul Jesseca “Judy” Harris-Dupart are certified WLW couple goals. They have a reality TV show, Brat Loves Judy, which offers authentic representation of Black queer married life and the highs and lows of their fertility journey. Pssst… why not pick up a back issue of our May 2023 magazine to read more about their epic love story?
