Are you ready to learn more about Lesbian Jesus?

From breaking the internet with her Girls Like Girls music video, to doing pretty much the same thing by revealing her long-term relationship with Bachelor contestant Becca Tilley, Hayley Kiyoko has us under her thumb. Coined āLesbian Jesusā by her fans and releasing track after track of godly pop, you might think you have this sapphic sensation sussed, but trust us, thereās always more to know. Without further ado, here are five things you might not know about Hayley Kiyoko.
Hayley uses a rolling suitcase instead of a handbag
The Oxford Compact Carry-On from Tumi is her “handbag” of choice for running errands, seeing friends and even going to dinner! She admits the eyes are on her when she walks into a restaurant wheeling her daily essentials alongside her, but I canāt help wondering if some of that attention is just because sheās … well, sheās Hayley Kiyoko. The suitcase is full to the brim with headphones, sun cream, cosmetics, perfume, keys, a film camera, origami, crystals, snacks and tea bags ā so in all fairness, a clutch bag just wouldnāt cut it.
She previously did commercial work
Before music, Hayley did commercial work for GM, On Star and Slim Jim before becoming the TV spokesperson for Cinnamon Toast Crunch. She left the world of advertising and had a plethora of other acting and dance roles on TV and in film including Nickelodeonās Unfabulous, the Scooby-Doo! films, Wizards Of Waverly Place and CSI Cyber. As well as being able to play guitar, drums and keys, she is a gifted singer and song writer. Is there anything she canāt do?
She’s an Aries
Hayleyās star sign is Aries, which is the same as Lady Gaga and McKenna Petty of The Aces. Coincidence? I think not. There must be something in that spring water that guaranteed the gift of song writing prowess. Aries people are known for being surprisingly good at organising which at least goes some way in explaining the suitcase!
She used to be part of a five-piece girl group called The Stunners
Before launching her solo career, Hayley Kiyoko was part of The Stunners. They formed a couple of years prior to releasing their first EP in 2009, featured on the iCarly soundtrack and supported Justin Bieber on 20 dates of his world tour. Sadly, the group went their separate ways in 2011 but at least the split gave way to Hayleyās solo work (and that of Tinashe, who was also in the band).
She has her own irresistible perfume
The award nominated perfume called Hue by Hayley is described as āan audacious scent designed as an expression of liberation, freedom, and self empowerment… this irresistible floral fruity fragrance embodies Hayleyās very essence from start to finish. Bold, energetic and just a little disruptiveā. The perfume is packaged in a gorgeous, matte, red bottle and smells like blood orange, watermelon, pink magnolia, peony petals, lychee and rose. The ethos of the perfume is to embrace your authentic self, a message mirrored in Hayleyās music, making this product a work of art in itself.
