Over the years, our favourite LGBTQIA celebs have hard launched their relationships on social media in some truly iconic ways. I’m still not over Hayley Kiyoko AKA Lesbian Jesus soft launching her relationship with Becca Tilley in her For The Girls music video only to shortly after hard launch it with adorable photos they’ve taken together over the years.
Yesterday, Yellowjackets and Scream star Jasmin Savoy Brown went Instagram official with her new partner Anouk in a truly impeccable fashion. The carousel post showed loved-up pictures of the happy couple dressed to the nines. And the caption “J’étudie les bisous français” Google translates to “I study French kisses”. I love seeing queer love. And these pictures are full of so much love and joy. Just scroll through and look at Anouk laughing with Jasmin’s lipstick smudged all over her face.
The comment section was filled with people celebrating the couple. Actor Devyn Nekoda wrote “MOMMIIIESSSS”, her Scream VI co-star Mason Gooding commented, “Jasmin said ‘play ‘The Girl is Mine’ by Michael Jackson on Spotify” and Yellowjacket’s Juliette Lewis had this to say: “All. This. Love AND fashion 😁🫠🤩💕👏🙌🔥. So gorgeous & inspiring to witness”.
Jasmin has already done so much for LGBTQIA onscreen representation in her career. When she joined the Scream franchise, she made queerstory as Scream’s first queer character, Mindy. In the hugely popular psychological drama, Yellowjackets, Jasmin became a fan favourite for her portrayal of Taissa, who was given a queer love story while trying to survive the wild. We’re twiddling our thumbs waiting for more Taissa and Vanessa content on our screens this month.
Scream VI releases in cinemas on 10 March and season two of Yellowjackets will be available to stream from 26 March.
