Miley Cyrus may have only been with Cody Simpson for what feels like five minutes, but this relationship seems to have had a bit of a wild effect on Miley’s opinions when it comes to the LGBTQI community.
Just earlier this year she was saying how her marriage to a man didn’t take away from her queer identity. Oh, how things can change in the space of a few months.
After Miley broadcasted live on Instagram yesterday, many of her LGBTQI fans were left disappointed by some of the points she raised regarding sexuality.
She inferred that sexual orientation is a choice by saying, “There are good men out there, guys, don’t give up.”
Taking a swipe at her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth she said, “I always thought I had to be gay, because I thought all guys were evil, but it’s not true.”
“There are good people out there that just happen to have dicks. I’ve only ever met one, and he’s on this live,” she proclaimed to the thousands of fans who tuned in to the live broadcast.
“You don’t have to be gay, there are good people with dicks out there, you’ve just got to find them. You’ve got to find a dick that’s not a dick, you know.”
Miley quickly responded to the criticism, taking to both Twitter and Instagram to make clear that she doesn’t believe sexuality to be a choice.
She tweeted: “I was talking shit about sucky guys, but let me be clear, YOU don’t CHOOSE your sexuality. You are born as you are. It has always been my priority to protect the LGBTQ community I am a part of.”

Uhm, it sort of sounds like that’s exactly what you were saying, Miley? Sorry, we really can’t agree with you on this one. We still love ya, but let’s all learn from Miley’s mistakes. Be careful what you say when broadcasting live to thousands of people.
Please can we have the non-problematic Miley back now?
