Our favourite celesbians who put a ring on it

If there’s one thing that can cheer us all up, it’s a good ol’ lesbian love story. Here are some recent lez/bi engagements that you may have missed and a celebration of some of our all-time favourites that are sure to brighten your day.

Rose and Rosie

We all know the love story of YouTube’s finest lez/bi couple Rose and Rosie (and if you didn’t read this article here to find out). But it’s their cute proposal story in particular which we love the most.

Rose proposed at the venue where they first started to fall for each other using a hand-drawn illustration by one of their best friends that said “Will you marry me?”

Rosie had the best reaction, immediately asking “Is this real life?” Thank god it was and they’ve been relationship goals ever since.

Jill Scott and Shelly Unitt

The best coffee so far 💍❤️ @shellyunitt

A post shared by Jill Scott (@jillscottjs8) on

Jill Scott is a footballer for Manchester City and England and this week she announced the news that she is engaged to her long-term partner Shelly Unitt.

The post shows off the dazzling engagement ring whilst Shelly clutches her coffee with the caption “The best coffee so far.” A cappuccino with a sprinkle of diamonds on top, yes please!

Poppy and Parisa

Poppy and Parisa were the winners of MTV’s True Love Or True Lies and they’ve had a place in our hearts ever since – read more about their relationship in the January issue of DIVA here.

Whilst on holiday in Mexico recently, Parisa popped the question and of course, Poppy said yes. These love-birds are the perfect couple indeed. We can’t wait to see how wonderful their future wedding will be.

Gigi Gorgeous and Nats Getty

After two years of being openly and completely obsessed with each other, YouTuber Gigi Gorgeous and billionaire oil heiress Nats Getty announced their engagement.

To keep the proposal a secret, Nats told Gigi they were doing a photoshoot. A private helicopter took them to a castle in Paris where she popped the question surrounded by their friends and family. Oh, and when Gigi said yes, fireworks went off. Totally not extra AT ALL.

Wanda and Alex Sykes

Wanda is a queer icon and legendary stand-up comic. After her first marriage she got divorced, came out of the closet, married a gorgeous French woman called Alex and adopted two children.

Wanda and Alex displayed a love like no other from the get-go, getting married even before the official approval of same-sex marriages. The intimate ceremony took place in 2008, at a private location in Las Vegas where the pair became the ultimate power couple.
