Whew! May is already proving to be the month of gay. We have new music from Janelle Monáe, we’re still #obsessed with Bella Ramsay’s friendship with Pedro Pascal and Hannah Gadsby has treated us all to a new Netflix special.

But, of course, when looking back on all things queer, we have to start with Selling Sunset’s Chrishell Stause and Australian singer Georgia “G Flip” Flipo.

Back in May 2022, the pair confirmed their relationship and now, a year later, they’ve tied the knot. The actor and TV star posted a Reel on Instagram last week (10 May) that was a montage of their memories together to the sound of G Flip’s song, Be Your Man, and the Reel ends with their beautiful Vegas wedding photo with queer joy plastered across both of their faces.

Congratulations to the happy couple!

Janelle Monáe’s new music video altered our brain chemistry

The gamechanging musician released a music video for their latest single, Lipstick Lover. It’s sexy AF and celebrates Black queer bodies and sexuality. This is the first track off their upcoming album, The Age Of Pleasure, and it has me on the edge of my seat for the upcoming June release date.

We are superfans of Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal’s friendship

The Last Of Us’ Bella Ramsey and Pedro Pascal were crowned “Best Duo” at the MTV Movie and TV Awards. The pair beat out their rivals in Wednesday, Do Revenge, Top Gun: Maverick and The White Lotus.

In their acceptance speeches, the two shared their love for each other and Pedro also dedicated the award to young people, which came across as a statement for LGBTQIA solidarity: “I want to say that you deserve a world that serves your interests. You deserve to be healthy. You deserve to be safe,” He said. “You deserve for your individual rights to be fought for and protected. You deserve real heroes in this world because you are real heroes to me.”

Pedro has been a consistent ally to the LGBTQIA community and has continued to do so amid this stark moment in US history where there are 474 anti-LGBTQIA bills.

While the award took place the weekend before last, fans had been celebrating the epic duo all week.

Hannah Gadsby is back with a new Netflix special

The award-winning comedian is back with their third Netflix special, Hannah Gadsby: Something Special, which premiered on Netflix on 9 May. It guarantees to make you feel good as Hannah shares stories of their proposal, marriage and more.
