Back in 2019, Joaquin Phoenix stunned audiences with his gripping portrayal of the titular DC villain in Joker. Fans have been eager for a sequel, and early this month writer-director Todd Phillips announced the title, Joker: Folie à Deux, which means “shared psychosis”.

Last week, there was much speculation that the iconic musician and A Star Is Born actor is in talks to take on the role of Harley Quinn. Details surrounding her character are vague, but according to The Hollywood Reporter if the deal is made, this version of Quinn would exist in a different DC universe than Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn, who appeared in The Suicide Squad and Harley Quinn: Birds Of Prey.

Oh and, in a move that I never saw coming, the Joker sequel is rumoured to be a musical. That’s all we know for now, but it will be interesting to see how things develop. And of course, we’re crossing our fingers that Harley Quinn gets a girlfriend.
