It’s a boy! Say hello to Jagger Mewis-Kerr…

It’s official! Kristie Mewis and Sam Kerr have had their baby and are now mums. Announcing the news via Instagram, the pair introduced the world to Jagger Mewis-Kerr, their son.
Last November, Chelsea striker Sam and West Ham United midfielder Kristie announced they were expecting a baby. On 8 May, they revealed on their instagram accounts that the baby had arrived. They posted a picture of themselves holding their son, with the caption: “Our little man is here, Jagger Mewis-Kerr”.
The baby announcement is just the latest instance of the couple sharing beautiful glimpses of their relationship with fans. They made their relationship public during the Tokyo Olympics in 2021 and shared their engagement announcement two years later. Both have spoken about the importance of sharing their relationship on social media, to normalise “being two girls in love”.
Several footballers flocked to the comments of the latest post to share Sam and Kristie’s joy. Jill Scott congratulated the new family, while Emily Van Egmond, who plays alongside Sam for the Australian Women’s team, commented that Jagger is “the cutest little man”.
