“I cry every day. I just look at him and boo-hoo, because I’m so grateful”

The iconic duo Brat and Judy have just revealed the first images and details of their new-born True Legend in an interview with People magazine. After getting married last year, the iconic rapper and radio host Da Brat spoke about motherhood for the first time since they welcomed True Legend into the world.
She said, “I cry every day. I just look at him and boo-hoo, because I’m so grateful.”
Known for her hits like Funkdafied, Da Brat met her now-wife Jesseca ‘Judy’ in 2017. The pair had the most fairytale love story and got married last year.
In her interview with People magazine, Da Brat gushed about their relationship saying, “I was stuck in the closet for so many years, I thought I would never come out. But I met somebody that gave me the courage to live in my own truth. Now I’m happily married.”
Da Brat also revealed how much she was in awe of her journey into motherhood. She underwent IVF in order to conceive their beautiful son.
“I’m 49, I’m high-risk, I have high blood pressure. So many women so much younger than me want kids and can’t have them, and I had a successful pregnancy,” she said tearfully. “It’s just an honour. He’s such a blessing.”
She then added: “I never want to do that [giving birth] again, but for him it was worth it.”
The couple seem more loved up than ever as they spoke about changing diapers and sharing the responsibilities of motherhood.
“Who would ever think this? Da Brat-a-tat-tat from 1994!” she laughed “I’m with a beautiful, successful woman who completes me and inspires me to be better. I’m elated to be a mother. I never thought I would be, and I wouldn’t change it for the world. I never need another thing in life.”
