“To anybody who has ever questioned your identity… I promise you this, there is indeed a place for us”

We’ve got some great news for Ariana DeBose fans. The Oscar winning star and queer icon will be live in concert at the London Palladium on Saturday 1 April 2023!
The West Side Story actor made history becoming the first openly queer person of colour to win an Oscar in 2022. She also won a BAFTA and Screen Actors Guild (SAG) award for her performance in the classic musical.
Now she’s hitting the London stage and we can’t wait to hear what tunes she’ll be singing. Her Broadway credits include Hamilton, Summer: The Donna Summer Musical and Company so there’s quite a back catalogue to choose from. You may also know Ariana from HBO hit Westworld, Netflix’s The Prom and TV
series Schmigadoon!
Not only do we love Ariana’s talent but we love her activism and how she stands up for the queer community too. In her Oscars acceptance speech she said, “To anybody who has ever questioned your identity…I promise you this, there is indeed a place for us”. Oh, how she makes our queer hearts sing!
As if that wasn’t enough, she famously spoke out about America’s Don’t Say Gay legislation to the CEO of Disney.
It makes us wonder what LGBTQIA issues she’ll talk about during her London Palladium show.
