Marrying and starting a family…

“I got married very young. I met my husband when I was a teenager, and we had our first baby straight away.”

Growing up queer in California in the 80s and 90s…

“My idea of a gay woman wasn’t something that I could identify with.”

Coming out on Real Housewives…

“I came out on a television show that was constantly putting me down and calling me a liar. To be seen for who I truly am means everything.”

Navigating queer parenthood…

“I knew I wanted to be a mum. I always had feelings for women, but I didn’t really know how to vocalise it or where to put it.”

Sobriety…

“I started drinking at 14 because I was always very uncomfortable in my own skin.”
