On 20 June 2022, the LGBTQI professional networking platform, myGwork, will commence this year’s, five-day, WorkPride event.

The annual event is an action-packed, conference consisting of around 70 events, designed to promote LGBTQI inclusion and equality at work. Sponsored by EY, WorkPride 2022’s events will focus on allyship, networks, careers, business and wellbeing, in both English and Spanish.

Last year’s event attracted over 20,000 participants from across the world, to network and learn strategies to help create workspaces that are inclusive of all sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions.

This year’s event from myGwork will include workshops and panels, a digital career fair and nuanced conversations about LGBTQI issues and career progression. There will also be the opportunity for attendees to get expert advice from public and private companies in virtually every sector. WorkPride 2022 will also feature diverse and ethnicity-specific panels to address different intersectional LGBTQI needs including, but not limited to, age, race and disability.

The founders of mGwork said in a recent statement: “We’re delighted to return with an action-packed WorkPride this year. Our diverse agenda provides a brilliant opportunity for LGBTQ+ professionals, allies and inclusive employers to network, share best practice and learn strategies that will help to create inclusive workspaces for all.”

The global professional services provider, EY, is sponsoring the event for the third year in a row. EY’s LGBTQI community is strong part of their global organisation, and they are committed to fostering an environment where everyone feels a sense of belonging.

The best part is, this five-day event is completely free for professionals, graduates, employers, allies and anyone who believes in workplace equality. Being cost free makes sure the event is as accessible as possible, to aid in the process of breaking down workplace barriers for LGBTQI people.
