A woman realised her chickens are in a lesbian relationship

The ultimate lockdown love story has to be the lesbian relationship between two chickens. The pair were brought together in quarantine and have fallen in love.

In a viral Twitter thread, Amanda Brunton shared how she realised her two chickens, Domino and Michelle Obrahma, were in a lesbian relationship.

Amanda noticed that the two hens would have romantic dinners together away from the other chickens, and began sharing dust baths together. Instead of sleeping separately like the other chickens, they would also sleep on the same perch together, with one snuggled up under the others wing. It turned out that their behaviour was that of a rooster wooing a hen.

Covid Relief Update: Hey friends guess what? This fund started with an intention to give 50 dollars to the first 50 black trans folk who commented under my first post about covid relief, from my own funds. However, I was inspired by how many of us are in need of assistance and knew i needed to give more, so i continued until I realized that I had to also allocate funds to take care of my family during this emergency as well. I decided that the best way to continue the fund would be to initiate a wealth redistribution system where I invite my IG community & Fan base to participate. I was completely touched by the interest of our allies (AND other fellow trans folk!) to support black trans folk to navigate the impact of the pandemic. Because of YOU We got to take care of about 400 people with 20 thousand dollars. The majority of recipients are black trans folk, particularly women. However many covid relief recipients are latinx, asian, indigenous, Queer, trans, disabled and differently abled folk as well. I am so incredibly touched by the outpouring response to organize covid relief funds for black trans lives. I am a little backed up on responding to folks who are still in need forgive me. I am only able to take care of as many folk as I have donations available. For those who are just seeing, I’ve launched a sort of makeshift affirmative action fundraiser to prioritize financial crisis Black Trans folks may be experiencing during this time. You can donate using my cashapp ID above. Everything and anything helps. *I do not make requests for money. Beware of scam tags that are pretending to be me and requesting money with promises to return more.

They first donated $3,000 in March and they have gone on to set up a Cash App account to allow their followers to make donations that will be redistributed to those in the community who are suffering financially because of Covid-19.

Indya wrote on Instagram: “Black trans women are the last of us all to receive help and resources, if any at all. It’s really important to me to prioritise those who will always be thought of last, if thought of at all.”

“I am looking at all requests and I am looking at all trans folks in need however I am prioritising the needs of Black trans women first, the ones who are least likely to have friends, boyfriends and families checking in or present at all.”

A lesbian wedding on the streets of New York City

A lesbian couple still managed to get married during the pandemic, proving that coronavirus cannot stand in the way of true love.

Reilly Jennings revealed that she and her wife Amanda were due to get married in October, but felt that the wedding was unlikely to go ahead due to coronavirus. Instead, they took to the streets of New York City for their wedding.

Amidst the uncertainty and despair we all feel right now, marrying the love of my life in the most NYC moment was perfect,” Jennings wrote.

“I’ve waited four years to call [Amanda] my wife. This was all just the cherry on top of the love I feel every day.”
