10% of proceeds from Pride Run will support the work of LGBTQI charity, Kaleidoscope Trust

Green Man Gaming Publishing and Kaleidoscope Trust, a charity working to uphold the rights of LGBTQI people internationally, have announced a consoling (geddit?) donation partnership. Enter, Pride Run.

A rhythm action game, Pride Run is an exuberant and fun game that allows you to create a virtual Pride Parade, showcasing Pride-goers from all around the world.

Understanding the importance of inclusivity in the gaming community, Green Man Gaming will donate 10% of proceeds from the sale of the game to Kaleidoscope Trust

Pride Run will stream for PC on National Coming Out Day in the US on 11 October 2019. Pride Run will also offer challenges for gamers of all abilities (so don’t worry if the extent of your gaming ability is building your dream queer life on Sims 2…)

Inspired by the, “Pride parades, events and characters from all over the world over the last 50 years,” it was created by a diverse team made up of people of all different sexual orientations, gender identities and beliefs.

Speaking of the partnership, Kaleidoscope Trust, Executive Director Phyll Opoku-Gyimah said: “It was wonderful to get a preview of Pride Run when we first met with Green Man Gaming and it’s a really fun game that we are all excited to play.

“We are pleased that the company has such an inclusive policy in what we understand can sometimes be a toxic environment for LGBT+ gamers.”

This partnership is not just a fundraiser – it’s a way of opening up conversations within the gaming community and beyond, about discrimination against LGBTQI people around the world.
