Think you know a little about The L Word’s favourite house band, BETTY? You don’t (not yet…)

The L Word royalty and New York City-based, lez/bi-fronted band BETTY has been together through thick and thin for over 30 years.

Made up of sisters, Amy and Elizabeth Ziff, and their best friend Alyson Palmer, BETTY Girlband: The Podcast, is the coming-of-age story of three women brought together through music, but who instead found family, a lifelong endeavour for LGBTQI rights, politics, humour, and all the trappings of rock ‘n roll along the way!

It’s a story of coming out as fierce, rockin’ feminists, queers and lesbians in the truly oppressive time of Reagan, and all the sex, drugs and discovery that came with it.

…and they’re still together and are, as they always have been, very much a DIY project. So, how have they managed to stay together for all of this time? What keeps the three women together? How do they do it?

BETTY Girlband: The Podcast is unexpected, fun, crazy, intense journey. If you think you know this band, you don’t.

The first series of 12 episodes focus in on the band in the 80s and 90s, with an episode released once a fortnight.

Fasten your seatbelts, it’s gonna be a bumpy, musical ride!
