Indya is a true trailblazer. The actor, model and activist has been providing non-binary representation and queer visibility since their breakout role in Saturday Church. Off screen, the Pose star has also made waves in the modelling industry since they were 15, working shoots for Dior and Gucci. In 2019, they even became the first trans person to be featured on the cover of Elle US. Now, Indya is back with a new role in Jim Jarmusch’s film Father Mother Brother Sister.

Here’s your teaser of what Indya had to say on…

Familyhood: “For me, family can be interchangeable with community”

Grieving: “Grief is a really powerful form of emotional evidence of love”

Trans visibility: “Hyper-visibility without actual real protection is death.”
