Aussie icon G Flip, Bimini, Leigh-Anne and Moonchild Sanelly will all be heading to Brighton this August for the annual Pride On The Park. Other stars like Melanie C, The Blessed Madonna and Girls Don’t Sync have also been added to the line-up.

Earlier this year, it was announced that RAYE and Diana Ross would be headlining Brighton & Hove Pride’s legendary event. Taking place on 1-2 August, Pride On The Park is a can’t-miss event each year that brings together the entire community for a weekend of joy.

Alongside the main stage and Dance Arena, you can also see performances from Legends Cabaret, The Cocoa Butter Club, Queer Town and Party Bag. There will also be family zones and more to explore in the iconic Preston Park.

This year, Brighton & Hove Pride will be celebrating their 35th birthday. The Community Parade will once again begin the weekend’s festivities, and this year the theme is “The Power Of Love”. Under this theme, Brighton & Hove Pride hope to bring the community together in solidarity and resistance. Brighton’s first Gay Pride took place in 1973, organised by the Sussex Gay Liberation Front, formed in 1971 by students and local LGBTQIA+ activists. The Pride didn’t return until 1991.

Managing Director Paul Kemp said: “This year feels incredibly special as we celebrate 35 years of Brighton & Hove Pride. We want to reflect on the journey since the early 90s, celebrate how far we’ve come as a community, but also look ahead to the future and how far we’ve still to go. This year’s Pride on the Park line-up reflects such a breadth of talent across many generations, and we know Pride-goers are in for such an incredible experience. Let’s celebrate the power of love in all its forms – roll on August!”

Brighton & Hove Pride has raised over £1.5 million for local good causes through the Pride Social Impact Fund, PrideCultural Development Fund and Pride Solidarity Fund. The Pride Social Impact Fund helps provide grants to local groups.
