The X-Files star has opened up about labels in a recent interview

Gillian Anderson has opened up about her sexuality, labelling herself as pansexual.
Die-hard Gillian fans will know that The X-Files star has been open about her relationship with women throughout her career. In a 2012 interview with Out magazine, she openly spoke about dating women in her younger years.
Now, in an interview with The Australian, Gillian has said that she is “pan, as in pansexual, as in attracted to all genders”. She also stated that her top turn-ons in a woman were “lips”, “buttocks” and “the clavicle”.
In 2024, the Sex Education actor also spoke about pansexuality in an interview with The New Yorker, asking, “Now, at the age of fifty-five, I am thinking, Oh, am I pansexual? Am I bisexual?”
Since playing the icon Dana Scully in The X-Files, Gillian has become a lesbian icon who has transcended generations. Her recent performance in Teenage Sex And Death At Camp Miasma had queer fans in a frenzy as she played a sapphic, mysterious actor named Billy Presley.
Following the success of her bestselling book Want, a collection of letters from women about sexuality, Gillian has just released her second collection entitled More. The book is slated to be bolder and more explicit than the first.
