Back in 2021, Emeli Sandé was performing the hit of the summer, Read All About It, in front of the world at the Olympics closing ceremony. Now, in 2023, she has come out and released her fifth studio album, How Were We To Know.

Healing through her craft: “Music helps you process so many emotions”
What she wants listeners to gain from How Were We To Know: “[Love] can protect you. I’m hoping that by laying my soul bare in this album, exploring all my imperfections and vulnerability, it will allow people that space to cry, to let it go, breath it out, and be vulnerable themselves”
What she’d like to achieve next: “I want to go back to university to study music”
