If you’re planning on driving down the M4 on 17 June, perhaps you should schedule a detour to visit Chippenham’s first ever Pride! Volunteers within the community have been working tirelessly for the past year to create a day of joy and celebration. The day is being sponsored by the initiative Trans in the City and Chippenham Motor Company.

Chippenham aims to educate and celebrate diversity within their community, working towards a future without discrimination.

The day is set to be full of amazing acts and speakers to see including our very own Linda Riley! Linda will be joined by Lucy Kamper and Tanya Levene to talk to the Trans in the City team about how they make change happen and empower people. We expect you to all be at the Speaker Stage at 5:50pm on the dot.

Oh, but that’s not all! Head on over to the Main Stage to watch everything from the fabulous drag queen Courtney Jackson to “Wiltshire’s favourite nonsense group” The Real Cheesemakers.

So, as we get ready for Chippenham’s first ever Pride, we’ve put together a handy guide to help you navigate the day.

When is Chippenham Pride?

17 June.

Where is Chippenham Pride?

Monkton Park, Chippenham.

How do I get there?

If you’re coming from London, your best choice is to take the GWR from London Paddington which cuts your travel time in half. Located just off the M4, it is also easy to reach by car.

Can children attend?

Yes, the event is designed to be family friendly. There’s even a face painting stall!

Who can I expect to see?

From our very own Publisher Linda Riley to the likes of Becky Lawrence, there are too many acts for us to list here. Check out the full line-up here

What am I permitted to bring, and will there be security at the event?

If you want to bring alcohol on site, you must do so in a recyclable container. Glass bottles are not allowed. There is a zero tolerance policy on drugs, and security will be in place to make sure this is adhered to. Drones will not be allowed on the premises unless they have been approved.

You can find out all the information at the Chippenham Pride website. We hope you’ve got your rainbow flags ready!
