Netflix has sparked queer joy with this latest announcement video

Last April, the Netflix adaptation of Alice Oseman’s hugely popular Heartstopper graphic novels hit our screens and instantly touched the lives of LGBTQIA viewers. The show follows the gay love story between Nick and Charlie, as well as the lives of their diverse group of friends including DIVA faves, Tara and Darcy (Tarcy) of “you’ve befriended the school lesbians” fame.

Ever since the season two renewal announcement we have eagerly been refreshing our feeds hoping for news about a release date. Well, DIVAs, the time has finally arrived. Netflix just announced that we will be reunited with our favourite comfort show on 3 August 2023!

Here’s how Netflix has teased this season:

“Nick and Charlie navigate their new relationship; Tara and Darcy face unforeseen challenges and Tao and Elle work out if they can ever be more than just friends. With exams on the horizon, a school trip to Paris and a prom to plan, the gang has a lot to juggle as they journey through the next stages of life, love and friendship.”

Here’s everything else we know about Heartstopper season two (so far)…
