Anaïs (Anaïs Demoustier, The New Girlfriend) is the energetic and impulsive protagonist of this sparkling rom-com. Fans of Gentleman Jack, will appreciate the captivating allure of a sapphic power walk. In the opening of this film, we get to see Anaïs sprinting down Parisian sidewalks with a crushed bouquet of flowers tightly held under her arm.

Anaïs is a captivating millennial woman who is obsessed with passion but seems too distracted to truly embrace it. She flitters from one lover to the next whilst trying to find some direction in life. Her claustrophobia prevents her from riding a lift which leads to a humorous “meet cute” with Daniel (Denis Podalydès, Sorry Angel) an intellectual almost the same age as her father. The two start an affair, however before long, Anaïs finds herself captivated instead by Daniel’s beautiful long-time partner, Emilie (Valeria Bruni-Tedeschi, Summer of 85, Only the Animals), a successful and charismatic writer. And so, another affair begins, but could this one offer the passion and contentment Anaïs has been searching for?
