It is bittersweet that last week contained lots of news for LGBTQI representation onscreen, but we urgently need the world around us to also advocate for our liberation.

Euphoria’s Hunter Schafer is taking on a key role in The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes

Hunter Schafer has stunned Euphoria fans for her gripping portrayal of Jules throughout the show’s two seasons. We’ve all been eager to see what kind of roles she’ll take on next. In exciting news, Hunter has been cast as Tigris Snow, in the highly anticipated prequel to the Hunger Games, The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes.

The prequel is set 64 years before the events of the original trilogy. Tigris is the cousin of Coriolanus Snow (Tom Blyth). We can’t wait to see what Hunter brings to the role.

The Ballad Of Songbirds And Snakes is set to premiere in cinemas in November 2023.

Lena Waithe’s new queer drama is coming to Netflix this Wednesday

This upcoming film, set in the 1980s, explores identity and the dark side of game. Viewers will follow the titular character, Beauty, as she deals with the pressures of the music industry, a controlling family and her love for her girlfriend.
