Celebrating LGBTQI inclusion in rugby and greater representation, London Stock Exchange Group is motivated by equality and inclusion

Happy LGBT+ History Month! To mark the occasion, members from Harlequins and Harlequins Women’s Team closed the London Stock Exchange on 17 February 2022. With their home ground located at Twickenham Stoop in south-west London, Harlequins is a professional rugby union club competing in Premiership Rugby. Launching the Women and Girls Programme in August 2017, Harlequins Women and Girls Rugby Team has constantly affirmed its commitment to furthering representation in sport. In May 2020, Harlequins Women secured their first Allianz Premier 15s title, defeating Saracens Women 25-17.

Celebrating LGBTQI inclusion in rugby and greater representation, London Stock Exchange Group is a diverse organisation motivated by equality and inclusion, led by initiatives spearheaded by Catherine Johnson and Arlene McDermott. Notably, Arlene was awarded the accolade for Inspirational Role Model at the 2021 European Diversity Awards, and Catherine is nominated for Inspirational Role Model at the 2022 Burberry British Diversity Awards. The latter will take place on 10 March 2022 at London’s Grand Connaught Rooms, hosted by June Sarpong OBE, supported by headline sponsor, Burberry, alongside an array of category sponsors including Lockton LLP, Dam Health, National Grid and GSK.
