Here at DIVA, we want to amplify the voices of LGBTQI woman artists as part of our Lesbian Visibility Week celebrations 🎨
BY DIVA STAFF
Calling all LGBTQI artists! As part of Lesbian Visibility Week 2021, we are introducing DIVA Art, a space which we will use to amplify the voice of LGBTQI woman artists. Taking place throughout the day on Sunday 2 May, we want as many of you as possible to showcase your skill and bring your talent.
Whether you’re a passionate painter, a daring designer or you’re seriously skilled at sculpting, we want to see your work and hear your story so we can celebrate your work.
If you have a piece of art you would like to be shown please email kat@divamag.co.uk with an image of the piece, your name, website (if you have one) and social media tags.
Our aim for Lesbian Visibility Week 2021 is both to celebrate lesbians and show solidarity with all women in our community. We believe in unity, and lifting up those who are most marginalised.
Building on Lesbian Visibility Day which started back in 2008, we wanted to create a week that recognises, celebrates and importantly supports lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer women across the UK and beyond to be their true selves at work, at home and socially.
After a hugely successful week of online events last year, we’re carrying on with our aims and bringing the panels, performances and activities you love – but this time, it’s bigger and better.
Lesbian Visibility Week takes place Monday 26 April to Sunday 2 May 2021. Find out more on our website lesbianvisibilityweek.com.
