Merry Queermas, everyone! We have found some of the best LGBTQI offerings in the UK this festive season to keep you occupied.

Whether you’re looking for a pantomime, Christmas markets or still trying to find a date to your friend’s Christmas party – there are plenty of queer events going on, which you won’t want to miss. πŸŽ„

Poetry LGBT – Open Mic Night

Need to chase those winter blues away? Well, VFD is hosting multiple Fridays of poetry and spoken word throughout winter. 

Fancy yourself as a performer? There are slots for singers, rappers, comedians, dancers, musicians, and burlesque acts. 

Each night will have 12 performers, so there’s room for everyone and plenty of variety.

Queer Comes Christmas 

Christmas is round the corner and York LGBT Forum have decided to treat to you to a festive treat with some of their favourite acts.

This is a fun and festive Christmas show featuring local drag kings and queens!

VIP tickets include Prosecco and food plates upstairs in the Grotto and proceeds from the ticket sales will be donated to the York LGBT Forum.

Cinderella – Drag Pantomime 

Drag stars Baga Chipz and Sheila Simmonds star in this fierce and funny drag makeover of Cinderella this Christmas. 

Produced by TuckShop – the UK’s only specialist production company devoted to all things drag – Cinderella is written and directed by Stuart Saint (De Profundis, Saucy Jack at the Space Vixens, Misfit Warrior), and will also star drag performers Kemah Bob, Ophelia Love, Veronica Green, Baby and Holly Stars.

Festive Lesbian Speed Dating 

If you’re still searching for someone to smooch under the mistletoe, this is the event for you. 

Music & Beans is lending its space for like-minded women to come together and connect in a safe environment.  

You will swap dates every five minutes and mark your card in-between. At the end, the hosts will do all the hard work for you and find the right match. Sounds a lot more satisfying than swiping, right?

Christmas Themed Open Mic Night 

Calling all musicians, poets and comedians! Show off your skills this Christm(akah) and come and entertain a crowd with your Christmakah-themed acts! 

This is a safe space where everyone is welcome to come along and perform and all ticket sales will go to the charity Shelter.

LGBT Meet and Greet Singles Night

That’s Amore Exeter is a new matchmaking and friendship agency. 

Focusing on safety and professionalism, they offer a personal in depth free one-to-one consultation and an online consultation on request for people who want to try something different and more personal compared to online dating apps. 

This festive season they are hosting their first singles night for the LGBT community of Exeter on good ol’ gay Gandy Street.

Queer Fayre: Queer Christmas Market

Christmas shopping with a queer twist! Head to Colours Hoxton for Queer Fayre’s Christmas extravaganza, featuring Christmas KINK and festive FET wear plus arts & crafts by queer creatives. 

From sex-toy themed tea towels, LGBTQI+ badges, jewellery, zines, paintings and more, this is the perfect chance to stock up on last minute presents.
