Anna Murphy has opened up about wanting to start a family

The Traitors Ireland has crowned two LGBTQIA+ winners, with one planning to put her prize money towards IVF and the other hoping to take his husband on a honeymoon.
Anna Murphy and Diego Caixeta split the €45,850 prize pot after Tuesday night’s finale. Anna, a 27-year-old postal worker from Dublin, plans to put part of her €22,925 winnings towards IVF with her partner Fiona as they work towards starting a family.
In a comment shared with DIVA by RTÉ, Anna said: “The money obviously means an awful lot, especially as it takes the burden off saving for both a house and IVF at the same time. Myself and my partner Fiona are so excited for what’s to come. It’s been a wild experience!”
She also said the couple are hoping to go ring shopping soon.
Anna’s co-winner Diego has his own plans for the prize money. He wants to use his share to take his husband Denis Ryan on honeymoon. Denis also competed in the series, but was murdered by the Traitors earlier in the game. Diego had kept their 11-year marriage secret from the other contestants.
Anna wasn’t the only contestant with plans to use the prize money for IVF. Carla Geary, one of the season’s Traitors, is in a same-sex relationship and has endometriosis. She said she had planned to use the prize money towards IVF if she won.
The 23-person cast included at least six LGBTQIA+ contestants, meaning more than one in four of this year’s players were queer. Among the other LGBTQIA+ contestants were author and assistant professor Páraic Kerrigan and stay-at-home dad David Moran.
