X Factor’s Louisa Johnson and Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts perform at Manchester Pride’s Parisian-themed Spring Benefit… Ooh la la

BY DANIELLE MUSTARDE

The team behind Manchester Pride has announced an evening of food, drink and “dazzling performances” as tables go on sale for their fifth annual spring fundraiser.

Taking place on Thursday 16 May 2019 at The Midland Hotel, the charity event brings together community champions and celebrities, sponsors, business leaders and individual supporters to raise money for the LGBTQI charity.

On top of all of that, this year’s event will transport guests to the City Of Lights with a Parisian theme.

Think Le Moulin Rouge, with guests invited to discover “truth, beauty, freedom and love” as they’re joined by a chorus of courtesans – and their can-can!

Entertainment will come from The X-Factor’s youngest ever winner Louisa Johnson, who’ll be taking to the stage alongside noughties fave, Nicola Roberts, formerly of Girls Aloud, who’ll be keeping the party going with an exclusive DJ set.

The evening will be hosted by comedian and presenter, Stephen Bailey.

“The Spring Benefit is always a night to remember and we have some excellent entertainment lined up to perform in one of the city’s most historic hotels as it becomes Le Moulin Rouge for one night,” said Mark Fletcher, Chief Executive at Manchester Pride.

“Whilst we are primarily an LGBT+ fundraiser, we don’t just welcome members of the LGBT+ business community, but also supporters, ambassadors and allies who want to enjoy a really good night out and help us raise money at the same time.”
