If you’re a sapphic woman or non-binary person and you’ve ventured into the world of online dating – chances are, you’ve at some point had a HER account. It’s also highly likely that you’ve gone on a date that has lasted more than six hours (which over 65% of HER’s 14 million users have been recorded as doing).

To celebrate these recent findings, the app has partnered with Apple to launch the Lesbian Day Long Date for Lesbian Visibility Day, which will also celebrate Lesbian Visibility Week coming to an end. This project has seen HER create a guided date through New York and London’s lesbian history that any lesbian or sapphic couple could follow.

“We wanted to create something for the lesbian community that felt like the ultimate lesbian gift – a gift of love. Knowing how much our lesbian audience loves the never ending date, this interactive date across our two largest cities felt like the perfect way to help couples fall in love whilst getting to know more about their hometowns,” said Robyn Exton, Founder and CEO of HER.

As lesbian and sapphic couples take to the streets all through Lesbian Visibility Week, HER is giving away a one night stay in a hotel – to help them celebrate their second (or third or fourth date) when they share about the lesbian history tour on social media. HER are also organising a group date on Saturday 27 April in both London and New York with over 50 people expected to attend each event.
