I Kissed A Girl (IKAG) is so back! And we’re here for all the drama, heartfelt conversations and snogs. After the success of season one, we’ve waited on the edge of our seats to meet the new cast that will win over our hearts. Now, we can finally find out which characters, love stories and heartbreaks are going to define this sapphic summer.
One of the OG cast members to enter Dannii Minogue’s Masseria is Ebony. This self-confessed “golden retriever” came onto the show looking for someone with a good sense of humour and communication skills. While Ebony was initially paired with Tyra for her first kiss, things soon began heating up with Imogen.
We caught up with Ebony to find out more about her time in the Masseria.

Why did you choose to go on IKAG?
People always get the wrong impression of me and think I’m going to be super masc. I might dress like that, but I also get my nails done! I’m the girliest in my group. I prance around like a little gay fairy. I’ve struggled with [these impressions of me] in past relationships, and I’ve been made to feel like the “man” in a relationship. The friends I have around me are great supporters, but they wouldn’t march in Pride or wave the flag. I want everyone to know I’m gay! I’m so proud of that because there was a time when I wasn’t.
Could you tell us a bit about your own coming out story?
I think everybody already knew because it was quite apparent! My mum is actually pansexual, but I was still scared to tell her. She’s been my biggest support through it all.
What did you learn about yourself on the show?
It was the first time I’ve ever worn a bikini since I had long hair, and I was terrified! The support [the girls] gave me helped me get the confidence to go out and just be who I wanted to be. To be myself and be girly. When I was younger I really struggled to be in touch with my feminine side. I think if some little masc out there is struggling with that in the same way, seeing me in a leather bikini walking like I’m part of the Matrix could help them.
