In case you needed some queer joy this morning, Beanie Feldstein has announced she is pregnant! The Booksmart star posted a joint Instagram post with her wife Bonnie-Chance Roberts with the caption, “Limited Edition Scouse Beanie Baby coming soon!! 🎀🍼”
The pair tied the knot in 2023 at their gloriously queer summer-camp themed wedding, taking place at Cedar Lakes Estate in the Hudson Valley. Beanie and Bonnie actually met on set in 2018 during the filming of Coky Giedroyc’s film How To Build A Girl.
Fans and celebs alike were quick to celebrate the couple’s good news. Booksmart co-star Kaitlyn Dever wrote: “My pups are having a puppy !!!!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.” Other kind words came from queer icons like Ben Platt, who said, “The universe is healing.”
Both Beanie and Bonnie looked utterly ecstatic in their pregnancy announcement, both coordinating in pink. The couple also posted a picture of their pregnancy announcement cake, which was adorned in pink bows and included the message, written in icing, “B&B are having a baby!”
In an interview with Vogue in June 2023, Beanie revealed more about their love story. “From the moment we first kissed, we both knew we would get married, and months after that, Bon had announced that when the time came, she wanted to be the one to propose to me.”
This pregnancy announcement follows Beanie’s news earlier this year that she was releasing a children’s book called Teeny And Tilly. Featuring illustrations by Laura Watkins, the story follows a child named Teeny who is worried about starting school because of her height. All that changes when she meets her tall classmate, Tilly.
