Ibiza, Mykonos, and Crete are gearing up for a new season where summer is enjoyed at a leisurely pace, with ocean views and a free-spirited lifestyle

The Mediterranean always has its own rhythm — one that doesn’t impose itself, but rather arrives with more light, with the sea, and with those days that seem to last longer without asking permission.

It’s a way of experiencing summer that isn’t measured in hours, but in sensations. And it is precisely that spirit that once again defines the new season at Axel Hotels, which is expanding its presence in the Mediterranean on one of Southern Europe’s most desirable islands.

The season has started with the reopening of Axel Beach Ibiza this month, offering the most iconic sunsets over Cala de Bou Bay, where the hotel is located. The golden light returns, casting its glow over the sea as the Skybar’s pools come alive with cocktails, music, and that feeling that the day could always last just a little longer.

In Mykonos, the second season of Axel Beach Mykonos confirms what was already evident last year: the island remains one of the top destinations for the LGBTQIA+ summer. Starting in May, the hotel reopens its doors in a setting where white architecture, floating breakfasts in a private pool, and the island’s energy create a combination that’s hard to match. Here, relaxation coexists with social life and partying in a natural, almost intuitive balance.

This year’s hot news comes from Crete, with a new opening on 15 April. Axel Beach Crete joins the Axel Hotels family with an experience that invites you to discover a different Mediterranean — one rich in history, more laid-back, and more authentic. Located in the old town of Hersonissos, the hotel is nestled in a setting steeped in history, just a short walk from Sarantaris Beach, one of the island’s most iconic and liberating nude beaches. Of course, private pools, a gym, and a Skybar with a pool are all part of the experience.

Three distinct islands, each with its own unique character. Ibiza, Mykonos, and Crete: three ways to experience summer without rush, without inhibitions, and without labels. What they have in common: safe spaces designed to feel, to enjoy without reservation, and to live every moment freely.
