Inclusive fertility care is vital – especially for LGBTQIA+ parents. That’s why we’re heading to Bristol this October with London Women’s Clinic (LWC) once again to deliver The Familymakers Show. This exciting new event will give LGBTQIA+ individuals the chance to learn more about the fertility treatment options open to them and help connect them to some incredible experts and clinics.

If you’re thinking about heading to our second Familymakers Show, here is everything you need to know.

When is The Familymakers Show Bristol?

18 October from 9:30 am – 6:30 pm.

Where will the event be taking place?

The Familymakers Show Bristol will be taking place in Wills Memorial Building, Queens Road, Clifton, Bristol, BS8 1RJ.

Is The Familymakers Show Bristol free?

Yes. You can get your ticket here

What clinics will be there to discuss different fertility treatment options?

London Women’s Clinic, Kind iVF, London Sperm Bank, London Egg Bank and LWC Egg Freezing will all be there to answer any questions you have about fertility treatment. There will be several experts on hand to offer you support and information across all areas of your fertility journey. National charities, support groups, and finance companies will also be there on the day to provide support.

What talks can I expect to hear throughout the day?

There are a number of talks on offer throughout the day which delve into different fertility treatment options. The first talk of the day starts at 10 am and focuses on explaining donor sperm and IUI, with speakers like LWC Head of Embryology Elena Linara-Demakakou and LWC Data and Insights Analyst Jemma Garrett ready to answer any questions you might have.

After this, you can expect to hear a talk from London Sperm Bank about choosing a donor. In the afternoon, there will be panels about affordable IVF, surrogacy, egg freezing, nutrition and fertility, reciprocal IVF and a special fertility coaching session.

Doctors will also be on hand to answer any questions, as well as people with lived experience who will share their stories.

What happens after the talks are finished?

At The Familymakers Show Bristol, we will be putting on a networking drinks event where you can discuss fertility treatment options with experts and other couples in your shoes. We know this process can feel daunting, which is why fostering community is so important to the day.
