Can you believe it’s been two years since the release of Netflix’s queered-up version of reality dating show The Ultimatum? We saw proposals, love triangles, heartbreaks, dogs, and we couldn’t forget #FingerGate.
Suffice it to say, we’re excited to meet the six queer couples who watched the events of the first season and thought: “sign me up!”.
For those not in the know, the premise of the show is as follows: six couples come together to see if their relationship can survive the ultimate test. One wants to say I do and settle down, the other isn’t so sure. How could they go about resolving this? The reality show’s answer is to all break up and date each other to see if their relationships can stand this social experiment and test.
There are two key takeaways from the trailer…
- JoAnna Garcia Swisher is back to host the show. Last time around many viewers called for a queer person to take over the role of host, but their wishes have been ignored on this front.
- There will be lots of flirting, dating, kissing, crying, Awkward Dinner Parties (yes, the capitalisation is needed), breakups, makeups, and lots of talking about how they feel about the previously mentioned flirting, dating, kissing and crying.
The Ultimatum: Queer Love season two will be streaming from 25 June. You can watch the official trailer below.
