Manchester Pride has made an electrifying announcement today, revealing that the renowned multi-platinum artist Jessie J will grace the stage at the Gay Village Party during Manchester Pride 2024. Joining her on the headline stage will be the two-time Eurovision winner Loreen. There is also a very mysterious secret headline act that will be announced at a later date…

Taking place between 23 – 26 August this year, Manchester Pride’s hotly anticipated Gay Village Party is back once again with a plethora of LGBTQIA talents from Manchester and beyond. The lineup includes Katy B, Chinchilla, Radio 1’s Dean McCullough, reigning Drag Race UK champion Ginger Johnson, Claire Richards from the Brit award-winning band Steps, and Atomic Kitten’s Natasha Hamilton.

Mark Fletcher, CEO of Manchester Pride said: “Jessie J and Loreen are outstanding performers. It’s brilliant to have them sharing the stage with local Queer talent and supporting us as we continue to push the Pride movement forward.”

“What’s most important is the representation and visibility of the further marginalised LGBTQIA people. The way we’ve been able to achieve this is through co-curation with our communities. The stage takeovers enable us to deliver an event which is designed by our communities for our communities and allies to enjoy.”

Stage takeovers, including Trans Filth & Joy and the Queer Asian Takeover, will be taking place throughout the weekend to keep the crowds buzzing. As well as this, The Indoor Arena, located in a covered car park, will offer a warehouse-style clubbing atmosphere. Among its highlights is the return of The Gaydio Dance Arena, headlined by Manchester’s very own DJ Paulette.

Beyond the stages, attendees can explore markets, food vendors, concessions, and pop-up performances scattered throughout the Gay Village’s streets, bars, and clubs.

Second Release Weekend and VIP tickets can be purchased through Ticketmaster now from £27.50 for a day ticket and £42.50 for a weekend ticket. A fixed donation of £2.50 from every ticket sold goes directly to the Manchester Pride Community Fund, ensuring that LGBTQIA causes and projects in Greater Manchester receive vital support with grants that are distributed throughout the year.
