Our findings will help us shed light on the experiences of LGBTQIA women, non-binary people and our allies
BY DIVA STAFF
Here at DIVA our mission is always to spotlight and uplift the voices of LGBTQIA women and non-binary people. Through our publication we are able to represent our community. It’s a responsibility we do not take lightly. To carry on the work that we do, it’s important that we give those we represent opportunities to speak on their experiences, the issues they face and their needs. That’s why each year we release our annual DIVA Survey in partnership with Kantar, the people behind the world’s first Inclusion Index.
Are you an LGBTQIA woman or non-binary person? Do you have thoughts on how we can improve the lives of our communities? Participating in this survey will help shape the work of DIVA and our charity and corporate partners for many years to come.
This year we’ll also be surveying LGBTQIA allies (people who support the LGBTQIA community but aren’t a part of it). At a time when LGBTQIA rights are under attack around the world, we need our allies more than ever. It is so important that we stand united. Hearing from our allies enables us to find out new ways we can work together to encourage even more unity.
Our 2023 survey results highlighted that 81% of people feel they are able to be open with their sexuality with their close friends, however, sadly only 25% of trans, intersex and non-binary people felt safe travelling abroad and a shocking 31% of the same group felt safe in bars, clubs and nightclubs.
The DIVA Survey 2024 takes 10-15 minutes to complete and all answers will remain confidential and anonymous, so feel free to open up about your experiences. Your responses will only be used for aggregated analysis and you will not be identifiable.
You can take the relevant survey here: UK | US | IN | ZA.
We’ll be launching our DIVA Survey 2024 report during this year’s Lesbian Visibility Week (Monday 22 April – Sunday 28 April 2024).
This survey will close on 19 February 2024. So get your answers in!
