Attention all astrology DIVAs! It’s that time again where we look at some LGBTQIA celebrities and icons that were born under a certain zodiac sign. This time, Capricorn season is here so we’re taking a look at famous Capricorns.
Often considered the “fire sign of the earth signs” Capricorns are known for their ambition and strong will. They’re also a cardinal sign and ruled by Saturn which means they are natural leaders and are all about structure and discipline.
Now, you may be thinking that Capricorns are all work and no play, but they also know how to let loose, especially when they are surrounded by trusted loved ones.
Which of the following celebs do you think serve up the more Capricorn vibes?
Katie Gavin and Naomi McPherson
Both MUNA’s Katie and Naomi are total capricorns. They also used to date each other (Capricorn4Capricorn relationships tend to be a theme… you’ll see). Speaking to LA Times, Naomi said: “We’re both Capricorns. We’re headstrong, we have this intense work ethic. But whatever we didn’t see eye to eye on was just not as important as the music or our friendship.”
Kate McKinnon
This Barbie is… a Capricorn. The lesbian icon and SNL star told Daily Beast, “I’m Capricorn, so I’m very pragmatic.”
Eliot Salt
It’s very fitting that everyone’s favourite gay earth fairy is also a Capricorn IRL. The Fate: The Winx Saga star certainly proves that Capricorns are the best.
Reneé Rapp
It’s no surprise that The Sex Lives Of College Girls and Mean Girls star is into astrology. She does after all have a song called Gemini Moon. Skip to 1:40 to see what she had to say on her zodiac sign.
Katherine Moennig and Sarah Shahi
The actor who is beloved for many a DIVA for portraying The L Word’s Shane is a total Capricorn. Shane and Carmen are also one of The L Word’s most popular ships. Carmen was played by Sarah Shahi who is also a Cap. Remember what I said about Capricorn4Capricorn relationships? It looks like the same applies when it comes to portraying fictional couples.
In an interview with Sarah earlier this year, she told DIVA: “[Kate and I] really are, in some ways, opposite sides, yet sometimes the exact side, of the same coin. She has this brooding quality about her, and I’m just like a Labrador puppy version of her. I have huge love for her, and she does for me too.”
Dove Cameron
Dove is such a Capricorn that she even has a tattoo dedicated to her sign. She told Refinery29, “I got a Capricorn sign on my bikini line because I wanted something that will always be me, even when I’m 85. The next morning I asked my mom if I could get a tattoo and she said, ‘No, you’re 14!’ to which I replied, ‘What if I already got one?’”
Ice Spice
Do you remember what I said about many considering Capricorns to be “the fire sign of the earth signs”? Well, it seems fitting that the bisexual rapper told The Cut: “I’m a Capricorn, but I give Leo energy a lot.”
Hunter Schafer and Dominic Fike
While they are now exes, these Euphoria co-stars once dated and kept up the Cap4Cap trend.
For A24, Hunter once said she used to reject the Capricorn trait of needing structure “Because I was like, ‘No, I want to be a free spirit and go with the flow.”
Timothée Chalamet
The certified lez/bi icon is a super Capricorn. His Sun, Mercury, Mars, Uranus and Neptune are all in the sign.
Alison Brie
This bisexual icon is a Capricorn, so it’s no wonder she was able to portray the organised over-achiever Annie Edison so well in Community.
Dolly Parton
The gay icon and LGBTQIA ally is a Capricorn. She married her husband, Carl Thomas Dean, in 1966. And speaking of their marriage to Access Hollywood, she said “I’m a Capricorn, and he’s a Cancer, and those are supposed to be, if you follow that kind of stuff, compatible signs anyway.”
