Raven-Symoné is the face of many people’s childhood comfort shows. Finding her footing in iconic roles in That’s So Raven and The Cheetah Girls, she has become a legendary face in Hollywood. The queer icon has been loved up with her boo Miranda since 2015, and together they have provided us with some couple goals content.
In this week’s DIVA Dating Digest, join us in looking back at their enduring love story.
2015: Raven and Miranda meet in a gay bar
Despite being open about their relationship now, when the pair met in 2015 they kept their relationship very private. While they didn’t reveal their meeting story at the time, in a YouTube video posted to their channel two years ago they revealed that they met in a gay bar. Raven was hosting a karaoke night in a bar in West Hollywood, and the pair hit it off from there.
June 2020: The pair secretly tie the knot
Officiated by their friend Erica Summers, Raven and Miranda said “I do” without telling the world. The couple had a very intimate wedding and shared the news with the world two days after on a (since-deleted) Instagram post. What a way to hard-launch your relationship!
April 2021: The pair create their YouTube channel 8PM
In an exciting (and super queer) move, the pair created their own joint YouTube channel called 8PM. Now called Raven & Miranda, the pair have over 40,000 subscribers and make everything from lifestyle vlogs to Q&A style videos.
June 2021: The loved-up pair celebrate their anniversary
After keeping the details of their relationship before marriage fairly quiet, we squealed in delight when we saw the pair posting beautiful pictures on their one-year anniversary. Miranda posted a picture with the beautiful caption: “In celebration of one year of marriage … let’s remember how after taking my $5 Amazon veil off I only wore a car hat, sunglasses and a mask for the rest of the year! Happy anniversary @ravensymone you’re my everything”
June 2023: The couple announce the launch of their new podcast
After the success of their couple’s YouTube channel, the next logical step was to launch their own podcast called The Best Podcast Ever. The duo welcome guests like Meghan Trainor and Jojo Siwa to have fun, exciting, and often hilarious conversations with them.
