The Big Queer Poetry Show is set to take the stage at Peckham Levels on Friday 25 August, bringing together a talented lineup of 14 LGBTQIA poets for an evening of spoken word and artistic expression. In aid of Stonewall Housing, the show not only celebrates the talent and creativity of LGBTQIA poets, but also serves to raise vital funds for some of the most marginalised in the LGBTQIA community.
By showcasing both established and emerging voices, this event seeks to amplify diverse perspectives and shed light on the underrepresentation of LGBTQIA artists. Through mixing artistry with activism, attendees can expect performances that explore themes such as identity, queer joy, love, resilience, and social justice. There will also be A Big Queer After Party and a raffle with some exciting prizes up for grabs!
100% of all proceeds from ticket sales will be donated directly to Stonewall Housing, a charity dedicated to supporting LGBTQIA individuals facing homelessness. Last year the show raised in excess of £7000 for the charity which provided over 250 nights of safety to vulnerable LGBTQIA people.
Tickets for The Big Queer Poetry Show 2023 can be purchased via Eventbrite:
