The gala will take place on Monday 14 November

It’s been a challenging year for the trans, non-binary and gender non-conforming community, thankfully Trans In The City is gearing up to host its 2022 gala. For the fifth year, Trans In The City is bringing people and organisations together for Trans Awareness Week to celebrate trans people, businesses and charities. The awards will be presented at the gala on Monday 14 November.

Attendees will hear from inspiring role models and professionals, including Trans In The City CEO Bobbi Pickard, about the organisation’s past success and its plans for the future. On the night, Trans In The City will present six awards – Trans Community Champion, Trans Corporate Champion, Trans Charity Of The Year, Trans Ally, Trans Inclusive Organisation – to the top companies, trans people and trans allies.

And we’re thrilled to share that DIVA Magazine has been shortlisted for the Trans Inclusive Organisation award.

Our Publisher Linda Riley on DIVA being shortlisted this year: “DIVA has always and will always be Trans Inclusive, we are delighted at the recognition shown this, by being shortlisted at the Trans In the City Awards and we are absolutely honoured.”

Last year Linda was awarded the Trans Ally award. Both Linda, our editor-in-chief, Roxy Bourdillon and the entire DIVA team have worked towards trans readers finding a home within our pages and we will continue to celebrate the trans community today and every day. With the rise of challenges facing the trans community, it is more urgent than ever that we uplift and listen to trans voices. #DIVAWithTheT #LGBWithTheT.
