Looking for a way to learn about and celebrate the often erased or forgotten histories of the Black LGBTQIA community this Black History Month, and beyond? Well today (4 October) founders Marc Thompson and Jason Okandaye have launched the Black And Gay, Back In The Day podcast which offers an eye-opening listening experience. Here’s your teaser for what’s in store.

Each episode, Marc will be joined by a rotation of younger Black and queer co-hosts to navigate photo archive of Black LGBTQIA life in Britain from 1970s through to the early 2000s. Readers will be taken on an intergenerational journey that makes for an essential listening experience.

Listeners will get to hear from many phenomenal contributors from asexuality activist, Yasmin Benoit, and PinkNews journalist Abi McIntosh to DJ and music producer Chantelle Ayanna and many, many more.

You can subscribe and tune into Black And Gay, Back In The Day on your preferred streaming platform.
