It looks like season three is gearing up to give our fave butch icon a happy ending, and we’re so here for it!

It’s almost The L Word time, with the third season of Gen Q premiering this November. Earlier this year, it was announced that Jamie Clayton has been upped to series regular and she’s in good company as it was recently announced that we’ll be seeing more of Carrie as Rosie O’Donnell has also been promoted to series regular. And a recent interview on The Howard Stern Show has us wondering if we could see a Carrie sex scene.

“They said it’s a sex scene,” Rosie told Howard. “I told them when I took the job I’m not doing a sex scene but the women who are there, they’re so smart and they’re young and they’re in their 30s and 40s and they’re writing this unbelievably great stuff.” On the show she shares that the one and only Kate Moenning (who plays Shane McCutcheon) will be directing the episode and has reassured Rosie that there will be an intimacy coordinator on set. But Rosie shares that she’s already sweaty with panic over the scene.

Rosie’s followers on TikTok will remember that last month, Rosie posted a video on set of The L Word, and shared that she’d just shot a scene in a bowling alley.

This video paired with a recent Instagram post by showrunner Marja-Lewis Ryan on top of the recent news of the previously mentioned sex scene, makes us very excited to see what awaits Carrie in season three. Marja’s post shows a close up of someone holding a bowling ball with someone else’s hands guiding them – could these hands belong to Carrie and her love interest? The picture was captioned “one of my proudest moments” which only adds more excitement.

Of course, after that cliffhanger in season two, things seem uncertain for Carrie and Tina. And #Tibette shippers around the world are praying that Tina and Bette get a happy ending.

Fans of A League Of Their Own got to see Rosie’s cameo on the reboot where she had a wife by her side, and many were moved by this part of the story. So perhaps Carrie will find a new love in season three and get to give us all the feelings all over again.
