Yes, you read that right! Queer icons Tegan and Sara are bringing their 90s high school experience to the screen, with the first trailer out now.

Based on their 2019 joint-memoir of the same name, Tegan and Sara describe the series as: “a story about finding your own identity—a journey made even more complicated when you have a twin whose own struggle and self-discovery so closely mimic your own.”

Tegan and Sara are played by twin TikTok stars Railey and Seazynn Gilliland. The cast also features Cobie Smulders and Kyle Bornheimer as Simone and Patrick, the twin’s parents. Tegan and Sara act as co-writers and producers on the series, collaborating with producer, co-writer and director Clea Duvall.

The show is due to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival next month, before hitting our screens on 14 October. High School will be available in the UK on Freevee, Amazon’s free streaming service. You don’t need a subscription to watch, just a free Amazon account.

Tegan and Sara were our iconic cover stars this month. In our exclusive interview they talked about what it was like working with Clea on the show, how their relationship with their queerness has evolved through the decades and more. Get your copy today.
