Congratulations Sara! 👶

This has been a very big year for trailblazing pop duo, Tegan and Sara. They recently announced the upcoming release of their 10th studio album, Crybaby, and accompanying tour. They’ve wrapped filming the TV adaptation of their joint-memoir, High School. They’ve been working on graphic novels and continuing their philanthropy with the Tegan and Sara Foundation. As if taking on all this projects wasn’t impressive enough, they did it all whilst knowing a baby was on the way.
How does one decide how to share this big news? I imagine it can be pretty hard to land on a way that feels right. Sara Quin went for a simple but iconic Instagram post. She snapped a mirror selfie of her holding the newest addition to the family captioned: “My #crybaby 🍦”. Seeing this post, I was grinning as wide as the smiley face on Sara’s jumper.
This baby objectively has a very cool family. Tegan reacted to the reactions of the news on Twitter in a fun way, proving she will be an awesome aunt.
