BY SOPHIE GRIFFITHS
Schools OUT UK in partnership with Laila El-Metoui have put together the very first Pride In Education conference to take place this Pride Month to inspire and resource educators in order to make a positive difference to their lives.
On Saturday 27 June, the global online event taking place via Zoom will aim to educate about prejudice and normalise LGTBQI content within schools.
Six webinars covering the breadth of education, from Primary to University level will be held as part of the event, as well as a panel on the various useful resources.
Sue Sanders, Chair of Schools OUT said: “I am so grateful to Laila in helping Schools OUT UK organise this vital event that will inspire and resource people in education to educate out prejudice by making LGBT+people in all their diversity visible, proud and safe.”
