The queen of pop and DIVA’s favourite LGBTQI ally, Charli XCX, has announced a programme of daily online events with the aim of providing support to those currently self-isolating due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Each day on Instagram, Charli XCX will invite various A-list guests to spark conversation, share insight and entertain her fans all over the world who are currently stuck inside.
The first livestream took place last night with the one and only Christine And The Queens, who Charli XCX has collaborated with previously for their 2019 queer anthem, Gone.
Their conversation surrounding the current situation touched on topics such as how the pandemic can affect creativity and mental health, and they answered questions submitted by fans ahead of the conversation.
Tonight’s installment will feature Charli XCX live-streaming a personal training session with Diplo, showcasing the importance of physical exercise in these limited times.
Other scheduled streams will include Rita Ora for a girls night in, Kim Petras for a game of “Would U Rather?” and a therapeutic art class with Clairo on Sunday.
Throughout the week’s entire programme of online events, Charli XCX will be looking to connect the online world and the real world through shared experience – spreading positivity via her own platform. We’re all in this together, so self-isolation doesn’t have to be isolating.
Charli XCX is encouraging viewers to be “as active in each event as possible, joining the conversation or taking part at home”.
