“Life is hard. Love is messy. Messy is normal”
BY DANIELLE MUSTARDE
The wait is over friends, Sex Education is back and, luckily for us lot, there’s a brand new trailer teasing a little more of what’s to come on the 17 January 2020…
In the opening scenes of this snippet, we see Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield) sitting in assembly with his fellow schoolmates when their headteacher boldly announces, “Today, we shall be hearing from a sexual health expert.”
Welcome back, Jean – aka Otis’s mum.

As the trailer goes on, we see many of the ever colourful, welcomingly familiar faces from season one. Otis is still happily loved up with the daughter of his mum’s love interest from season one, Ola (Patricia Allison) while his former crush, unlikely business partner and friend Maeve (Emma Mackey) looks on from a distance – regret, much?
Season two looks set to see “late bloomer” Otis master his newly discovered sexual urges in order to progress with Ola, while also juggling the now strained relationship he has with Maeve…
Meanwhile, Moordale Secondary is in the throes of a chlamydia outbreak, highlighting the need for better sex education at the school and new kids come to town who will challenge the status quo. (Ooo).

Written and created by Laurie Nunn and directed by Ben Taylor, Alice Seabright and Sophie Goodhart, we can’t wait to see what’s next for the Morale students – and the glorious Jean. Swoon.
