Amateur philosopher? Then this new series by YouTube Originals and The School Of Life will be right up your street.
Launching on the 8 October 2019, The School Of… is a new YouTube Originals series tackling life’s, “eternal, moral and ethical issues with the simplicity and wit that only The School of Life can bring.”
That and a gaggle of YouTubers, that is. (I mean, if anyone’s going to crack the meaning of life…)
Thankfully for us lot, one of the gaggle is the wonderful Jessica Kellgren-Fozard, who you no doubt recognise from her own YouTube channel where she makes videos about, “vintage lifestyle and fashion … deafness, disability and LGBTQI awareness.”
With standalone episodes including Can We Stop Being Anxious About Being Anxious?, (fingers crossed) Will The Next Picasso Be A Robot? and Jessica’s episode, What Is The Secret Of Happiness?, this bunch of happy-go-lucky YouTubers attempt to tackle life’s most intriguing subjects in a relatable and impactful manner, encouraging viewers to, “see each topic in a whole new light.”

“YouTube has become the world’s classroom, offering some amazing lessons in pretty much everything anyone needs to know,” explains Alain de Botton from contemporary philosophy school, The School Of Life.
“The School Of… is a superficially playful, but in essence deeply serious attempt to mobilise mass engagement around the important themes.
“We’re honoured that the team at YouTube saw the potential and took the risk.”
