Cara Delevingne and Ashely Benson’s relationship has been the subject of intense media attention. It comes as no surprise as the pair are huge celebrities, but it is rare to see out and proud queer couples reach this level of attention.
We’ve been following their relationship for months now, even though it was only officially confirmed via Cara’s Instagram back in June. Despite their unbelievably cute couple pics and matching tattoos, they prefer to keep their love as private as they possibly can.
Cara has now opened up in an interview with Elle, sharing the revelation: “I’m just better when I’m in love. That doesn’t have to mean with someone. It can also mean with myself.”
“It just feels incredible when you’re not alone,” she added. “When you’re facing the world with someone else.”
When asked why she’d been hesitant to talk about her relationship before, she said, “Because it’s sacred. I get why people care so much, and I don’t want to be so secretive that people think I’m ashamed of anything. But I’ve never been in a relationship where things are so public, or where I posted pictures of someone else.”
However, now that their relationship has progressed, Delevingne wants people to know how proud she is of it. “We had gotten to the point where we had kept it a secret, or at least not wanted attention, and now I feel like I’m not going to not be proud.”
That’s satisfied our Cara and Ashley craving for today. Confirm the wedding rumours next please, Cara!
