Set in 1950s Scotland, out bi actor Anna Paquin stars as a small-town doctor who falls head over heels for the single mother of one of her patients, played by a radiant Holliday Grainger.
As well as portraying forbidden same-sex desire and sizzling chemistry between the two leads, this brilliant film explores important themes of toxic masculinity, interracial love, and women’s rights to autonomy over their own bodies.
